We got some good feedback about the new payment reminder feature and will be making some tweaks to that. Just a reminder, the “Date Recieved” column on the View Gifts page is not integrated with PayPal—you have to manually input the date you got the money for all payment types. Post questions about this here in the comments field.

Last night we discovered an e-mail glitch that we’d like to tell you about. It appears that our hosting service caps the number of e-mails that can be sent from Honeyfund.com each hour, and since we’ve grown like gangbusters this wedding season we’ve been reaching the cap several times a day. This resulted in a handful of e-mails every day that never got sent.
So, we sent the backlog last night and are following up today with those of you who were negatively affected.
Fortunately there were only four e-mails from gift givers in that bunch. We’ve replied to them now explaining the delay.
We’ve also implemented a failsafe so that if there are leftover e-mails one hour, they are sent the next.
Aye yaye yaye, the wonderful world of technology. :)

So this is the first installment in our “tips” category which we hope to bring you regularly.
I’ve discovered a great new source for bridesmaids dresses—I mean very nice “you can wear them again” type dresses that won’t break the bank.
Check out Dessy.com. Tell them Sara from Honeyfund sent you, the owner Alan is a really cool guy and he lives to make your bridesmaids look good. :) Or use their store locator to find a retailer near you. Dessy makes some beautiful wedding gowns, too!
Alan also runs WayCoolWeddings.com which is a nifty little site that features people with cool wedding websites. I’ve been checking out some of your websites so don’t be surprised if you get nominated!

We got some great photo submissions and the registry image library is under way! We heard from some of you that you had trouble with the upload page so we’re working on that–you’ll get another e-mail soon with further info.

We recently added a new feature you’ve been asking for. Now on the View Gifts page you can see the payment method your gift giver chose.
You can also use the new “Remind” link to request an e-mail be sent to anyone who hasn’t paid. Click the link and you’ll see how that e-mail reads.
